A press conference was held on Friday May 21st at the Holiday Inn in Edison, New Jersey to kick-start the ‘JAI HO’ Sukhwinder Singh Live in concert. The major concert will be held in Washington DC on Saturday, June 5th. Along with Sukhwinder, we will also see young singers like Sunny, Pawni Pande of SaReGaMa fame and Shraddha Pandit along with a live orchestra from Mumbai.

When TheNellore spoke to Pawni, she told us that she was very excited to be here in the US for her first ever concert outside India. Although she had the opportunity to sing with few singers back home, this was her first time to sing with Sukhwinder. She told us that she was quite nervous to perform with a legend like him but she was looking forward to the same. Pawni was accompanied by her father, who was equally excited being with his daughter on this tour.

When Sukhwinder came in for the press conference, he did not seem in the mood to talk much. He explained that he was jet lagged and quite sleepy. But very soon he warmed up and was himself – cracking jokes, telling some interesting anecdotes and reciting shayari.  Sukhwinder
told TheNellore that he has something very different planned for this concert, although he did not want to disclose what it was. But he assured us that the audience will enjoy what he has to offer. We hope that it will definitely be worth the suspense.

This tour has been brought to us by Manan Singh Katohora, who is a film director and producer and Bittu. Also present at the conference were Mr. Puneet Ahluwalia who is the promoter of the show in Washington DC, Mr. Amir Shamsi who will be promoting the show in Toronto, Canada, Mr Gopi Krishna Thati who is a film actor and director, Hari Eppanappally who is a film producer and business man. Mr. Manan announced that Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta will be
part of the DC show.

The tour will continue through Houston, Bay area and other cities.
